COWBOYS & ALIENS: CIVIL WAR

The prequel to the Universal Studios major motion picture Cowboys & Aliens.

In 1864 the United States is entering into its fourth year of bloodshed between the North and South, but history is about to be rewritten.

The Confederate Army is decimating the Union armies with advanced alien weapons. The president orders a small group of unique and highly skilled individuals to sneak behind enemy lines to discover the source of the South’s newfound advantage and stop it by any means necessary.

What they discover is that aliens are providing the Confederates with technology in return for slaves to be used as human batteries.

This is the tale of that special unit, and how their each and as a group use individually-honed skills, relationships, spies, and war networks to try to win the day for the Union, and even more, turn the tide of history for the Slaves.

RAY ELLINGSEN

Writer/Producer

Ray Ellingsen began his film career in 1987 as a writer. He has since gone on to pursue numerous aspects of filmmaking, from directing and producing, to supervising post production of feature films, documentaries, and commercials. In 1999, Ellingsen helped form the motion picture entertainment company, Ugly Old Bird Productions, which produced multiple film and video projects during its five years of doing business.

Ellingsen moved to Arizona in 2005 to manage the largest motion picture film studio in the state of Arizona, Hollywood-Phoenix Film Studios. Within a year, Ellingsen brought in three feature films, numerous commercials, as well as a television series for the studio to produce. Ellingsen left the studio and moved back to Los Angeles to further his filmmaking career.

To date, Ellingsen has written and directed two documentaries and a feature film, along with a multitude of commercial, instructional and industrial projects. He has also produced nine feature films and over 30 video and commercial projects, with two feature films currently in development.

MIKE MINKLER

Producer

Michael is a three-time Academy Award winning and eleven-time nominee Sound Re-recording Mixer who has mixed over 200 motion pictures over the last four decades. He was awarded the Oscar for Blackhawk Down, Chicago, and Dreamgirls as well as many other awards including the Career Achievement Award from the Cinema Audio Society. Mike has collaborated with most of Hollywood’s elite directors dating back to the 70’s. He is currently the lead mixer at the world-renowned Todd AO Studios in Hollywood.

SCOTT ROSENBERG

Producer

Scott Mitchell Rosenberg is chairman of Platinum Studios, an entertainment company that controls the world’s largest independent library of comic book characters and adapts them for film, television, and all other media.

As chairman, Scott has played an integral role in creating the largest bible in comic book history: the Platinum Studios Macro-verse, which includes anchor titles such as Cowboys & Aliens, and Unique (currently in development at Disney).

Scott established Platinum Studios in 1997, following a successful, high-profile career as the founder of Malibu Comics, a leading independent comic book company that was sold to Marvel Comics in 1994. During his time at Malibu, Scott led many successful comics spin-offs into toys, television, and feature films, including the billion-dollar film and television phenomenon Men in Black.

Currently, in addition to creating electronic comics with animated panels, voice-overs, sound effects, and chart-topping music, Scott is working with MPMG to develop a slate of his comic properties into live-action independent feature films.

JEFFREY HARDY

JOHN PATRICK LECHAGO

Writer

John Patrick Lechago is a writer and director who is also trained in fine art. Starting at age nine John enrolled in traditional oil painting classes, winning the top awards in traditional art competitions. Later John would be admitted with a scholarship to the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago where he would exhaust all their film classes before completing his degree at Columbia College Chicago film program. He would go on to write, didirectand editing numerous films and projects. John brings an exciting, original style to his films.
